Biography

I am currently an ECE research assistant at HoUston Learning Algorithms (HULA) Laboratory, University of Houston and a visiting graduate research fellow at Systems Medicine and Bioengineering (SMAB) Laboratory, Houston Methodist Hospital Research Institute. My co-advisors are Prof. Hien V. Nguyen and Dr. Stephen T.C. Wong. Before that, I was a Research Assistant of MMLab-UIT at Vietnam National University - University of Information Technology where I was advised by Prof. Duy-Dinh Le. Also from here, I graduated with an Honor B.Sc. degree in Computer Science.

My research interests lie in the intersection of Deep Learning, Computer Vision, and Natural Language Processing with specific interests in multi-modal learning, self-supervised, weakly-supervised learning, and vision-language pre-training for real-world applications such as healthcare domain and multimedia retrieval.
